Here is the Film version of Revelation Is More Perilous Than Revolution –
Maybe less is more? more natural color?
A production take on Loud, in collaboration with Artist Michelle Jane Lee. I originally wanted to do a totally obnoxious set with all color squares and then I remember looking at Michelle’s work at an artshow in the Brewery. I then approached her to work directly with me in a set collaboration, she agreed. In Michelle’s work all of her colored squares represent letters of the alphabet. Getting ready for my show at Gallery 3209. The opening will be on the 21st, keep a look out for an invite. Along with couple of "Exit Strategy" pieces I will be doing a site-specific installation. Here's my blank canvas...
I will be participating in the Brewery Art Walk which is quite exciting. It's just a really great event over all.
About the Brewery Art Walk -

The ArtWalk takes place in the Spring and Fall, 11:00 am – 6:00 pm
Admission is free and so is parking. Come and support LA’s finest artists, take home some great works and dine at the on-site restaurant. "
Michelle Jane Lee’s art is minimalist in form yet muscular in content. There is a complexity, density; to put it simply, there is a lot of heart in her often times sparse drawings and paintings.
She is about going back to the moment of childhood possibility before our imaginations become impoverished and our options seemingly circumscribed. Her work reminds us that things could be different, if only we are brave enough to embrace the free fall, letting go of all of our prosthetics that keep us from realizing our freedom.
